A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Bryant and the husband of the late Mrs. Phenie Holland Bryant. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by a grandson, David Bryant of Southampton County. A funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. C.l. Gatling. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery in Sedley. Pallbearers were Roland Whitley, Reginald Bradshaw, Joe Bradshaw, Thomas Bradshaw, Charlie Holland, Alvin Munford and A.E. Drewry.
