A lifelong resident of Southampton County, she was the widow of Joe Bryant. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, William Vick of Boykins and Randolph Vick of Richmond; five daughters, Mrs. Grace Fuller and Mrs. Sophie Overby of Richmond, Mrs. Conderella Billups of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Betty Sue Edwards and Mrs. Louise Francis of Boykins; two step-sons, Herbert Vick of Handsom and A.D. Vick of Drewryville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A funeral service was conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. in McDowell Funeral Home by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery and the Rev. Daniel M. Spell. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Franklin Vick, Bill Vick, Kermit Francis, Eugene Griffin, Dr. J.J. Grizzard and Henry Fuller.
