MARY LEE WILLIAMS BRYANT

   Mrs. Mary Lee Williams Bryant, 68, of Highway 58, West, Franklin, died 
Thursday evening in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  Daughter of the late 
John A. and Mrs. Dorothy Lee Williams, she was a native of Isle of Wight 
County, widow of Ernest Russell Bryant, Jr., a member of High St. United 
Methodist Church and its Women's Work, a graduate of Elon College and 
Columbia University, a member of Franklin Literary Club, Southampton 
Historical Society, Franklin Garden Club and the Agnes Lee Chapter of the 
DAR.  She is survived by a son, John Everett Bryant; one sister, Miss 
Dorothy Virginia Williams of Franklin; two grandchildren.  A graveside 
service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the 
Rev. Robert D. Fridley and Rev. Rudolph Kidd.  The family requests that 
flowers be omitted.  W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in charge.
