NITA BARNES BRYANT

   BOYKINS - Nita Barnes Bryant, 76, died Mar. 31, in her home.

   Mrs. Bryant, a native of Southampton County, was a member of Boykins 
United Methodist Church.

   Survivors include her husband, I. Wingate Bryant; a daughter, Jean B. 
Mathias of Colonial Heights; two sons, William J. Bryant of Portsmouth 
and John W. Bryant of Boykins; two sisters, Nolie B. Trlla of Hopewell 
and Marie B. Wagner of Newport News; a brother, Clyde Barnes of Hopewell; 
five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

   A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. today in Beechwood 
Cemetery by the Rev. H. Lee Bowers.  McDowell Funeral Home is handling 
arrangements.
