BRYANT After an illness of six weeks, Mrs. Lewis W. Bryant, died at Lakeview Hospital, Suffolk, Monday, December 3, at the age of 42. Mrs. Bryant suffered first from an attack of bronchial pneumonia, from which she seemed to recover for a short while, when her condition changed for the worse, and the end came after she had been at Lakeview Hospital for about ten days for treatment. Mrs. Bryant was born and reared in this community, being a faithful member of the Boykins Methodist Church until about six years ago, when she joined the Boykins Baptist Church, and was a loyal member until her health failed. She was an active member of the T.E.L. Class in her church, always ready to discharge her duty in its every activity. Her Pastor, Rev. J.L. Carrick, conducted the funeral service from the Baptist Church. The body was laid to rest in the family plot in Beechwood Cemetery, with a large number of friends and relatives present. She is survived by her husband, one son, Ernest; two sisters, Mrs. Willie C. Bryant and Mrs. Edith Bowers, besides seven nieces and nephews and other relatives. The sympathy of the people goes out to the bereaved family and especially to the husband in his affliction. Retta C. (BAILEY; Mrs. Lewis W.)
