A retired farmer, he was a native of Southampton County. He was a son of Charles Everett and Mrs. Mary Jane Carr Bryant and the husband of Mrs. Maggie Vick Bryant. He was a member of Branchville Methodist Church and Newsoms Masonic Lodge 128. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters Mrs. Clarence M. Curling of Chesapeake and Mrs. Victor Grizzard of Boykins. A funeral service will be held in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Daniel K. Ivey. Masonic rites will be accorded. Daniel K. Ivey. Masonic rites were accorded. McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, was in charge. Pallbearers were Horace Edwards, Linton Grizzard, Thomas Grizzard, B.C. Edwards, Dick Grizzard, David Sykes, W.R. Emmons and Herman Overby. Bryant, 90, died in a Franklin hospital Thursday afternoon after a long illness.
