All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ SUSIE TERESA DREWRY BRYANT FRANKLIN - Mrs. Susie Drewry Bryant, 83, a resident of Boykins, died Thursday morning in a Portsmouth hospital after a brief illness. A native of Southampton County, she lived in that area most of her life. She was the widow of Mills Thomas Bryant and the daughter of the late Tyler and Mary Drewry of Southampton County. She was a member of the Church of God. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Mae Moody, Portsmouth; Mrs. Susie Cobb, Hampton; Mrs. Helen Joyner, Blackstone, and Mrs. Virgie Coggsdale and Mrs. Bertha Stephenson, both of Franklin; three sons, John Bryant, Jamesburg, N.J.; Thomas Bryant, Covina, Calif.; and Walter Bryant of Boykins; 37 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the W.J.M. Holland & sons Funeral Chapel Sunday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Dorsie Phillips, pastor of the Franklin Church of God. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Susie T.
