VIRGINIA L. BAIN BRYANT

   IVOR - Funeral services for Virgie Bain Bryant, 93, were held Monday in 
Bain Family Cemetery at the home by Rev. Lewis Clark.  Purviance Funeral Home 
was in charge.

   Pallbearers were: H.W. Wade, L.A. Brinkley Sr., E.V. Stephenson, Wilroy 
Stephenson, R.L. Harrup, Jr., Russell Knapp, F.S. Bain, Thomas Pulley, and 
Richard J. Holland.

   The widow of William C. Bryant died Friday in Nansemond Convalescent 
Center, Suffolk.

   She was a lifelong resident of Ivor community and a member of Millfield 
Baptist Church.

   Survivors include a nephew, Fairfield S. Bain of Wakefield; and three 
nieces, Eleanor Owen and Violet Krick of Smithfield, and Janice Worthington of 
Kinston, N.C.
