WILLIAM CONWAY BRYANT 

   IVOR - William Conway Bryant, 82, retired State Highway Department 
employee, died Sunday at 8:30 p.m. in Obici Memorial Hospital.

   He was a son of George Augustus and Mrs. Ella Cofer Bryant and the 
husband of Mrs. Virginia Bain Bryant.

   He attended Franklin Military Academy, Virginia Military Institute 
and the University of Virginia, was a member of Ivor Methodist Church.

   Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bryant Myers of Suffolk; 
Miss Mary Alice Bryant of Denbigh and Mrs. Myra Bryant Gayle of 
Carrollton, and a brother, James Cofer Bryant of Lynchburg.

   The body was taken of Purviance Funeral Home.

   The family asked that flowers be omitted.

   The body was taken from the funeral home of Bain family cemetery for 
a burial service Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Joseph L. McTeer and the 
Rev. Edward B. Owens.

   Pallbearers were Marshall Myers, E.V. Stephenson, Jr., Meredith Felts, 
Ashby Brantley, Sr., Garland Davis, Wilroy Stephenson, Peter Barnes, 
Fairfield Bain, Paige Pulley and J.A. Ramsey Jr.
