All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM WASHINGTON BRYANT Willie William Bryant, 79, well-known farmer of Southampton and Isle of Wight counties, died suddenly Sunday morning from a heart attack at the home of his son near Windsor, Va. He was a native of Northampton County, N.C. Mr. Bryant is survived by four sons, Jake L. of Franklin, Felix of Capron, Millard of Courtland and Thad J. Bryant of Windsor, with whom he had made his home for ten years; by two daughters, Mrs. Ronnie Vick of Portsmouth and Mrs. E.C. Nurney of Courtland, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Lane of Roxobel, N.C. Funeral services were held from the Holland Funeral Home here Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock, conducted by Rev. L.F. Paulette of Smithfield and Rev. W.C. Hughes of Newsoms, burial taking place in Newsoms. Pallbearers were: Stephen, Hereford, Bynum, Gordon and Gilbert Bryant, Richard and Leroy Vick and Isaac Pierce.
