BESSIE ROUNTREE COBB

   A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Bessie Rountree Cobb of Rt. 1, 
Franklin, was held Monday at 4 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. 
Charles L. Smith.

   A native of Southampton County, she was the daughter of John R. and 
Mrs. Sallie Cobb Rountree and the widow of Charlie E. Cobb.

   She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

   She is survived by a sister Mrs. Minnie R. Turner of Franklin; four 
nieces Mrs. Mills P. Daughtrey of Franklin, Mrs. Floyd W. Harrison of 
Alexandria, Mrs. G.M. Kite Jr. of Gainsville, Fla. and Mrs. H.E. Hazzard 
of Richmond.
