CLAYTON THOMAS COBB

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Clayton Thomas Cobb was conducted Sunday 
at 3 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. St. Elmo Nauman and the Rev. 
William A. Grisson.  W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge.

   Pallbearers were William H. Hart Jr., William H. Howell, Jr., Jesse 
McClenny, J. Letcher Eley, Hunter Darden Sr., and W.J. Morgan.

   Cobb, 70, died Saturday morning in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Thomas M. and Mrs. Nina 
Holland Cobb and the husband of Mrs. Eunice Cones Cobb.  He was a member of 
Franklin Congregational Christian Church.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Page Parker of 
Courtland; a son, Robert Clayton Cobb of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Edith 
Holland of Franklin; and three grandchildren.
