He was the son of Charlie E. and Mrs. Annie E. Cobb and the husband of Mrs. Mary E. Cobb. He was a retired U.S. Postal employee, he was a member of the Thomas Memorial Baptist Church and it's board of Deacons. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Charlie E. Cobb, Jr. of Drewryville, six sisters Mrs. Minnie Mattox of Drewryville, Mrs. Alice Carriker of Burlington, N.C., Mrs. Blanche McCrary of Norfolk, Mrs. Anna Drewry of Franklin, Mrs. Lucille Smelley of Richmond, Mrs. Marie Snead of South Hill; two brothers A.D. Cobb and R.S. Cobb of Drewryville, and two grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. W.J.M. Holland and Son Funeral Home, Franklin in charge. ****************************************************************************** CHARLIE DREWRY COBB DREWRYVILLE - A funeral service for Charlie Drewry Cobb, 70, of Drewryville, was held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Thomas Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Daniel Spell. Burial was in Thomas Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tommy Cobb, Mike Smelley, Ellis Cobb, Paul Cobb, Stan Mattox and Jerry Mattox. A native of Southampton County, he was the son of Charlie E. and Mrs. Annie Ellis Cobb and the husband of Mrs. Mary Earley Cobb. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service employee and farmer. He was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, and its board of deacons. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Charlie D. Cobb Jr. of Drewryville; six sisters Mrs. Minnie Mattox of Drewryville, Mrs. Alice Carriker of Burlington, N.C.; Mrs. Blanche McCrary of Norfolk; Mrs. Anna Drewry of Franklin; Mrs. Lucille Smelley of Richmond and Mrs. Marie Snead of South Hill; two brothers, A.E.
