Cobb, 77, well known farmer of Franklin, died this afternoon at Raiford Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was the son of the late James E. and Katherine Darden Cobb, of Southampton County. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Roundtree Cobb, Franklin; two brothers, John W. and James Percy Cobb, both of Franklin, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock by the Rev. R. D. Stephenson and the Rev. L.M. Kanite, pastor of Sycamore Street Baptist Church.
