Cobb SEBRELL - Mrs. Caroline Reese Cobb, 93, died Sunday morning in a Norfolk hospital. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Linwood M. Cobb and a daughter of Emmett F. and Mrs. Virginia Bishop Reese. She was a member of Sebrell United Methodist Church and was church organist. She also taught Sunday school. She was a graduate of the Blackstone College for Girls. She formerly taught school 25 years in Southampton County. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Twyman T. Fowler of Norfolk and Mrs. Phillip J. Weaver of Greensboro, N.C.; two sons, Robert Gordon Cobb of Courtland and Linwood M. Cobb Jr. of Lynchburg; three sisters, Misses Roberta Reese and Eugenia Reese of Sebrell, and Mrs. L. Jefferson Sledge of Emporia; two brothers, Lewis Thomas Reese of Sebrell and George Walter Reese of Richmond; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Sebrell Cemetery by the Rev. R.A. Bergdoll and the Rev. T.T. Fowler. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge. The family will be at the home of Gordon Cobb in Courtland.
