She was 67 years of age, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Godwin Parker. Forty-three years ago, she was married to T.W. Cobb of the home community and their life together for nearly half a century had been that of the ideal home, mother and father being faithful and consisted members of Sycamore Baptist Church, loyal to all of the ties of church, home and the neighborhood. Mrs. Cobb was an exemplary Christian woman of many fine qualities and will be greatly missed in the home and community. Funeral services were conducted from her late residence Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock by her Pastor, Rev. Kenneth E. Burke, assisted by a former Pastor, Rev. L.F. Paulette of Holland. The scripture lesson was read from her old family Bible, carrying entries dating as far back as 1798. Interment was made in the churchyard cemetery at Sycamore, the body bearers being five deacons of the church: Rufus Darden, Jodie Vaughan, Tyler Edwards, L.M. Edwards, and J.B. Beale; W.H. Lankford, Lee Vaughan and J.A. Johnson. Besides her husband, Mrs. Cobb is survived by five children, Clarence, Herbert and Alfred Cobb of Franklin, Mrs. C.T.
