Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were John Moody, Guy Picot, Herman Eley, Rupert Tart, Tall Jones, W.R. Atkinson Jr., Jesse McClenny, and Sol W. Rawls Jr. Cobb, 77, a retired pharmacist, died early Tuesday in a hospital after a brief illness. He was a son of Wade T. and Mrs. Florence Parker Cobb and the husband of Mrs. Emma Cutchin Cobb. A native of Southampton County, he lived in this community all his life. He was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church, a charter member of its Bruner Bible Class, a former deacon, and an usher 45 years. He was a graduate of Medical College of Virginia Pharmaceutical School. Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Herbert G. Cobb Jr. of Franklin, and a sister, Mrs. Clayton Drinkard of Lynchburg.
