All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JOSEPHINE NORFLEET HOLLAND COBB Mrs. Nina Holland Cobb, widow of Thomas Madison Cobb, died at her home in the Franklin community Tuesday afternoon after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Eldridge and Mary Howell Holland. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. T. Hayes Holland; a son, Clayton T. Cobb; two grandchildren, Page and Robert Cobb, all of Franklin; three brothers, W.J. Holland of Holland, R.S. Holland of Franklin and H.H. Holland of Staunton. Mrs. Cobb was a member of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church and of the missionary and Ladies Aid Societies of the church. Services were conducted from the home Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock by her pastor, Dr. Elwood W. Jones, assisted by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Members of the Christian choir sang "In the Garden" and "Jesus Lover of My Soul." Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery here, the pall being red rosebuds and lilies. Pallbearers were Alfred Cobb, J.A. Johnson, Dewey Howell, J.C. Daughtrey, H.M. DeBerry, P.R. Camp. E.P. Jones, and Harry Steinhardt.
