Robert Samuel Cobb, Sr., 58, died Thursday, October 16, 1986 in Norfolk General Hospital. He was a native of Southampton County and a paper maker for Union Camp Corp. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, Drewryville. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Beale Cobb, a daughter, Stacie Lynn Cobb of Drewryville; two sons, Robert Samuel Cobb, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga. and Charles Beale Cobb of Drewryville; six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Cobb Mattox of Drewryville, Mrs. Anna Cobb Drewry and Mrs. Alice Cobb Carriker, both of Franklin, Mrs. Blanche Cobb McCrary of Norfolk and Mrs. Marie Cobb Browder of Lawrenceville and Mrs. Lucille Cobb Hough of Richmond; one brother, Albert E. Cobb of Drewryville. The funeral will be conducted 2:30 p.m. today in the Thomas Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Travis O. McCord. Burial will be in the Drewryville Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin is handling arrangements.
