Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.G. Joyner, Richard E. Carter, Lee M. White, Edgar Blythe, Freeman Harrell, Thomas Barnes, Marvin Whitley and Ashby Blythe. Mrs. Cobb died Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native of Southampton County, she was the daughter of Willie and Mrs. Chrissie Beaton Blythe and the wife of Tony Roy Cobb Sr. She was a member of Hunterdale Christian Church. Besides her husband she is survived by five daughters Miss Ruth Cobb, Mrs. Dorothy C. Kitchen, Mrs. Gracie C. Foster, Mrs. Jerline C. Lankford of Franklin and Mrs. Edith C. Simmons of Courtland; five sons J.G. Cobb, Herman Cobb, Shelton Cobb, Tony R. Cobb, Jr. and Melton R. Cobb, all of Franklin; one brother Asa B. Joyner of Franklin and 25 grandchildren.
