COURTLAND - Wilmer Thomas Cobb, Jr., 39, died Saturday in a Richmond hospital after a long illness. He was the son of Mrs. Wilmer T. Cobb, Sr., and the late Mr. Cobb. He was a member of the Courtland Methodist Church. Besides his mother, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Owen Cobb, and one brother, Walter White Cobb, both of Courtland. Funeral services were conducted at W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in Franklin Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. C.W. Gibson, pastor of the Courtland Methodist Church, and the Rev. T.T. Fowler of Norfolk. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. Pallbearers were H.H. Edwards, Herbert Manry, M.R. Bryant, Jr., Malcolm Simmons, Ben Babb, Odell Joyner, Elmo Pittman and Tommy Pittman.
