Baird Cabell of Franklin, died in Raiford Memorial Hospital at 1:55 o’clock Wednesday morning, May 14, after an illness of several weeks’ duration. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andre Quebodeaux of Duson, La., where she was born April 11, 1923. She graduated from Scott High School, near Duson, and trained for a while in Shreveport Charity Hospital. During World War II she worked for the Texas Company in Houston, Tex., where she met her future husband, who was stationed at nearby Ellington Field. They were married at Duson on October 11, 1946, and came to Franklin from Charlottesville in 1948. Surviving besides her husband and parents are six sisters, Misses Genevieve, Laura Belle, Thelma and Verna Mae Quebodeaux of Houston, Tex. and Mrs. Therese Q. Brown and Miss Germaine Quebodeaux of Duson, La.; and three brothers, Frank and Jerome Quebodeaux of Duson and Cpl. Charles J. Quebodeaux, AUS, stationed at Erlangen, German. Funeral services will be held at St. Jude’s Mission this (Friday) morning at 11 o’clock, with Father Dockx officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Among out-of-town relatives here for the obsequies are Miss Alma Meyerhoffer of Statesville, N.C.; Mrs. Andre Quebodeaux, Frank Quebodeaux and Mrs. Therese Q. Brown of Duson, La.; and Misses Genevieve, Laura Belle, Thelma and Verna Mae Quebodeaux is expected to arrive from Germany in time for the funeral. ****************************************************************************** Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanne Q. Cabell, 29, wife of Trial Justice R. Baird Cabell, who died early Wednesday morning, May 14, in Raiford Memorial Hospital, were conducted Friday morning at 11 o’clock at St. Jude’s Mission with Father Dockx, pastor, and Father Leitch of Suffolk officiating. Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Dr. Melvin G. Baynard, James I. Beale, 3rd, Roy Cabell, Ralph Gadberry, Dr.E.B. Gatten, Jr., Otis Harrison, Jack G. Holland and W.A.
