Gray, here, Saturday night at the age of 88, following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Mills and Mrs. Edith Eley of Isle of Wight County, and widow of the late W.H. Coppersmith, and was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Gray; one son, Jesse L. Coppersmith of Richmond, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral rites were conducted from the Holland Funeral Home here Monday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock by Mrs. Coppersmith’s pastor the Rev. R.D. Stephenson and burial was made in the family plot in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Otis, Wesley, Robert, Paul and Jasper Gray and Thomas Parker. Winnie (ELEY; Mrs. William H.)
