He was the husband of Mrs. Ruth Louise Johnson Cook, and was a member of the Whitehead Grove Baptist Church, near Chuckatuck. Besides his wife, surviving are one daughter, Miss Patty Page Cook of Sedley; his mother, Mrs. Robert Henry Cook, Sr., also of Sedley; three sisters, Mrs. George R. Gay of Suffolk, Mrs. Ollie T. Berryman of Surry and Mrs. Woodrow J. Johnson of Franklin; three brothers, Edwin Ray Cook of Suffolk, Rogers Lee Cook of Wakefield, and Bobbie Lawrence Cook of Surry; three half-brothers, Linwood Cook and Herman Cook, both of Ivor and Robert Cook, Jr. of Smithfield and a half-sister, Mrs. R.A. Dickerman of Smithfield. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Tucker Swamp Baptist church by the Rev. J.W. Horne, pastor. Gray of Suffolk, and Mrs. Woodron J. Johnson of Franklin; three brothers, Bobbie Lawrence Cook of Surry, Edwin Ray Cook of Suffolk, and Rogers Lee Cook of Wakefield; a half-sister, Mrs. R.H. Dickerson of Smithfield; and three half-brothers, Herman and Linwood Cook of Ivor, and Robert Cook, Jr., of Smithfield. Services for Mr. Cook were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. J.W. Horne, assisted by Rev. Len B. Allen, pastor of Black Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Bennie Cook, Robert Cook, Thomas Cook, Bobbie Felts, Ryland Johnson and Paul Lowe.
