She was a native of Kelford, N.C., and the daughter of Kitchen [sic*] and Mrs. Lucy Harrell Hall. She was a member of Sedley Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, George Washington Cooke of Baltimore; three daughters, Mrs. W.P. Newsome of Sedley, Mrs. Annie Damm of Baltimore and Mrs. Ralph Asbell of Suffolk; three sons, Cola W. Cooke, James M. Cooke and William H. Cooke, all of Baltimore; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Joyner of Portsmouth, Mrs. Julian Acree of Littleton, N.C., and Mrs. Andrew Zeller of Baltimore; two brothers, Lonnie Hall of Sebring, Fla., and Kitchen Hall of Baltimore; and nine grandchildren. A funeral service was held in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. C.L. Gatling of Sedley Baptist Church. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. Pallbearers were Joe Owen, Leslie Newsome, Oliver Newsome, Herbert Hancock, Howard Hancock and Cecil Tillery.
