He was the husband of Mrs. Inez Jarrell Cook. A native of Forest City, N.C., he lived here 33 years. He was a turbine operator for Union Bag-Camp Paper Corp. He was a member of Hunterdale Christian Church. His parents were J.A. and Mrs. Ida Warlick Cook. Besides his widow, surviving are his stepmother, Mrs. Kate Wood Cook; two sons, Johnny Ford Cook, Jr. of Virginia Beach and Alex Cook of Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. Sue C. Bryant of Chesapeake and Mrs. Nancy C. Behrer of Ridgewood, N.J.; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Cleveland of La Grange, Ga., Mrs. Beatrice McClelland of Macon, Ga., and Mrs. Betty C. Bramer of Franklin; and six grandchildren. The body was taken to W.J.M. Holland and sons Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Holland Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.G. Cobb, E.W. Holt, Lawrence Johnson, Otis Rainey, W.G. Atkins, C.B. Smart, E.D Blankenship and E.K. Tingler.
