Cook, 73, was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Newsoms United Methodist Church by the Revs. Arthur Green, Kenneth Williams and Harry Bunch. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery with Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge. Cook died Friday in his home. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Nora Lee Johnson Cook. Survivors include three daughters, Louise C. Hedgepeth, Ruth Blythe and James Rountree of Franklin; a sister, Stella Rawls of Capron; two brothers, B. Ashby Cook of Richmond and R. Byrum Cook of Newsoms; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. "Jimmy" James Jefferson COOK, retired from the Hwy.
