All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROBERT HENRY COOK Robert Henry Cook, aged 63, a prominent farmer of the Ivor community, died in a Norfolk hospital on Saturday afternoon, June 7, after an illness of a few days. Mr. Cook was the son of the late James and Mary Johnson Cook and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Sweetie Mae Saunders Cook of Ivor; seven sons, Linwood, Robert H., Herman, Roy, Roger, Elton and Bobbie Lawrence Cook, all of Ivor; four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Dickerson of Smithfield, Mrs. Lucille Berryman of Surry, Mrs. Margaret Gay of Portsmouth, and Miss Elsie Cook of Ivor; one sister, Mrs. Martha Frances Joyner, of Ivor; and sixteen grandchildren. The body was brought to the Holland Funeral Home, where it remained until Monday afternoon, when it was taken to the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church for funeral services at three o’clock conducted by Rev. L.E. Holsbach. Interment was in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were J.H. Clark, Percy Bradshaw, J.R. Powell, R.M. Doles, A.F. Wills, R.P. Britt, Burley Fowler, and L.E. Eley.
