(Dink) Cook, Jr., 70, a retired farmer of the Ivor community, died Thursday, November 13, 1975. He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Maggie Wells Cook; seven sons, Robert L. Cook, Bennie F. Cook, John R. Cook, Joseph F. Cook, all of Ivor, Thomas D. Cook of Petersburg, Richard E. Cook of Disputanta, Leonard L. Cook of Hernando, Miss.; fifteen grandchildren; his step-mother, Mrs. Sweetie Mae Cook of Suffolk; one sister, Mrs. Gladys C. Dickerson of Smithfield; one brother, Linwood Cook of Ivor; three half-brothers, Ray Cook and Roger Cook of Suffolk, Bobby L. Cook of Ivor; three half-sisters, Mrs. Lucille Berryman of Surry, Mrs. Margaret Nenturs of Suffolk, and Mrs. Elsie Johnson of Franklin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15 at 2:30 p.m. in the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Burial in church cemetery. The remains rest at the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield.
