J. Horne. Burial was in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Charles Vernon Crumpler, Homer Cook, Jr., Charles Cook, Ray Mac Jones, Garry Lynn, John Rolley Cook, Robert Lewis, Russell Cornett and Charlie Holt. Cook died Sunday in his home. A native of Southampton County, he was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and was employed in the maintenance department of H.P. Beale and Sons Packing Co. Survivors include his mother Etta Mae Wells Cook of Smithfield, two sons, Sam William Cook Jr., and Timmy Earl Cook, both of Ivor; three sisters, Annie Bell H. Warren and Mandy Nelms, both of Smithfield, and Martha Ericson of Virginia Beach; and three brothers*, Herbert W. Cooke and Jimmy Cooke of Windsor.
