BENSON BENSON COGGSDALE Mrs. Ida M. Coggsdale, 68, of the Smith's Ferry Road, Franklin, died in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Friday afternoon, June 27. The deceased was the widow of James Coggsdale and daughter of the late Joe and Lucy Barber Benson. She was a member of the Franklin Church of God. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Fuller of Portsmouth, Mrs. Neva Bowles of Carrsville, and Mrs. Virginia Bowles and Mrs. Myrtle Francis, both of Franklin; three sons, J.R. Benson of Richmond, Jesse W. Benson of Franklin, with whom she made her home, and Len Benson of Portsmouth; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Zorener Johnson of Four Oaks, N.C., Mrs. Lizzie Jones of Fayetteville, N.C. and Mrs. Sissie Branche of Goldsboro, N.C. She was twice married. Funeral services for Mrs. Coggsdale were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. E.C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, and Rev. Randolph Phillips, pastor of the Franklin Church of God. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the pallbearers being Curtis Justice, James Justice, Leon O'Clair, Ralph Ross, W.H. Rutledge, Reuben Story and Joe Vaughan. Ida Ann M.
