All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JOSEPH THOMAS COGGSDALE SUFFOLK - Joseph Thomas Coggsdale, 69, husband of Mrs. Lois Blowe Coggsdale, died Monday in his home at 109 Grove Ave. after a sudden illness. Born in Southampton County, he lived here six years. He was a son of James E. Coggsdale and a member of Hunterdale Christian Church. Besides his widow, surviving are three brothers, Luther R. Coggsdale of Franklin, James Raymond Coggsdale of Courtland and Willie W. Coggsdale of Roanoke Rapids; and four sisters, Mrs. Kate Bryant of Franklin, Mrs. Sadie Bryant and Mrs. Maggie Burgess of Courtland and Mrs. Pearl Bracey of Ivor. A funeral service was conducted at 3:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Joe Peake of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Rev. R.E. Brittle of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. Pallbearers were Ray Allison, Robert March, Jr., Junius Brett, Lloyd Rountree, Henry Rountree, Russell Coggsdale, Bobby Coggsdale and M.S. Epperson, Jr. [I inserted "Willie W.
