ROBERT ELLIS COGGSDALE 

  FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Robert E. Coggsdale, 76, was held Sunday, 
Feb 24, in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Rev. Charles Smith, W.J.M. Holland and 
Sons Funeral Home was in charge.

  Pallbearers were J.E. Henry, W. Tall Jones, Carlton Cutchin, A.W. Livesay, 
R.H. Powell III, Charles C. Powell, George H. Parker Jr. and Story Cutchin.

  Coggsdale, of 833 Clay St., husband of Mrs. Myrtle Banks Coggsdale, died 
Saturday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

  A native of Southampton County, he was a member of Franklin Congregational 
Church, a retired automobile dealer, and a past president of Franklin Lions 
Club.

  Other survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Mamie Jones and Mrs. Vashti 
Hawa of Franklin, Mrs. Iola Tebout of Norfolk, Mrs. Kate Korahaes of Virginia 
Beach, and Mrs. Irene Sleeper of Tarpon Springs. Fla.; and a brother, James A. 
Jones of Franklin.

His mother (2m. JONES) is buried in Annex 2, Plot 93/113.  Robert's foster 
   parents - maternal uncle James R. BOYETTE & wife Annie B. (CARR) BOYETTE - 
   are buried in Annex 2, Plot 243.
