Coggin, 65, a retired telegrapher, who died in a Richmond hospital on Wednesday, November 29, were conducted at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. R.D. Stephenson officiated. Active pallbearers were J. Edward Moyler, F.R. Day, Sr., J. Edgar Weede, W.J.M. Holland, Jr., J.D. Fowler and Lloyd A. Darden. Mr. Coggin, a former resident of this county, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Coggin. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie F. Coggin of Richmond; three daughters, Mrs. Louise Whitley of Richmond, Mrs. Pauline M. Wilborn of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret J. Isbell of Richmond; three sons, Samuel B. Coggin of Roanoke, John E. Coggin of Grand Rapids, Mich., and William F. Coggin of Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Miss Annie May Coggin of Richmond; and one brother, Rodney M. Coggin of Warsaw.
