All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CHARLES JETHRO CUTCHIN Charles Jethro Cutchin, 82, retired farmer and merchant of Franklin, died in his sleep at the residence on Clay Street on Sunday morning, September 25, after suffering from a heart ailment for several years. The deceased was the son of the late Josiah and Louise Jones Cutchin of Isle of Wight County and the husband of Mrs. Minnie Saunders Cutchin of Franklin. He was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church and of the Bruner Bible Class. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Cutchin Powell, and one son, Carlton L. Cutchin, both of Franklin; three grandchildren, Jerry Cutchin, Charles Powell and Bob Powell, all of Franklin; and a nephew, Fenton Duck of Franklin. Funeral services for Mr. Cutchin were conducted at the residence Monday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock by Rev. Randolph L. Gregory and Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the active pallbearers being W.J. Cross, William H. Cutchin, Leonidas Cutchin, Kermit Saunders, Emory Beale, Leland Beale, W.T. Pace, Jr., and Fenton Duck.
