All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ FRANCES JOSEPHINE CUTCHINS Miss Fannie Josephine Cutchins, a former teacher of music in Whaleyville High School, died Tuesday afternoon, June 6, at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, after an illness of several weeks. She was the daughter of the late Cornelius A. and Lelia Armstrong Cutchins, and a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. She had taught music also in the school at Newsoms. Miss Cutchins is survived by a brother, Samuel B. Cutchins; a sister, Miss Zula Cutchins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the residence on High Street at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon by Rev. Randolph L. Gregory and Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the active pallbearers being William A. Jones of Whaleyville, F.F. Jenkins, H.L. Duff, Carlton Cutchins, R.H. Powell, Hudson Conwell, Ashby Rawls and Linwood B. Norfleet.
