Franklin - A funeral service for Leonidas (Dyke) Cutchin Sr., 79, was held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Revs. Ira D. Hudgins and Edwin C. Thornton Jr. He died Friday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Sycamore Farm, Isle of Wight County, he was the husband of Mrs. Marie Gwaltney Cutchin. He was a former, 18 year employee of Camp Manufacturing Co. and a retired farmer. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and Bruner Bible Class. He was a devoted outdoorsman and a member of Camp P.D. Hunt Club, Holland Hunt Club, and Sunbeam Hunt Club. He was also a member of Carrsville Ruritan Club. Other survivors include a son, Leonidas Cutchin, Jr., of Franklin; and five grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
