Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Sidney Broman. Masonic rites were accorded at the grave. Pallbearers were Mack Balance, Blanton Bryant, David Blythe Jr., Craig Hurd, L.J. Bittle, Dick Poole, Merritt Raiford and Norfleet Griffin. Cutchins died suddenly last Wednesday afternoon in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Thomas C. Cutchins and the late Mrs. Mattie Hall Cutchins and the husband of Mrs. Barbara Carr Cutchins. He was owner and operator of Cutchins Tire Company and Cutchins Arco Service for the past 20 years. He was a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge #151 A.F. & A.M., Portsmouth Scottish Rite and Khedive Temple, Norfolk. Besides his wife and father he is survived by two daughters, Miss Deborah Elaine Cutchins and Miss Kimberly Jean Cutchins; one son, Marvin Edwards Cutchins Jr. all of Franklin; seven sisters, Mrs. Gladys C. Drewry, Courtland; Mrs. Ruby C. Flynn, Chesapeake; Mrs. Nell C. Lee, Raleigh, N.C.; Mrs. Paige C. Drake, Handsom; Mrs. Dorothy C. Davis, Stony Creek; Mrs. Mattie C. Bradshaw, Carrsville; Mrs. Florrie C. Harrison, Virginia Beach; two brothers, Ray Cutchins, Conway, N.C.; and Stanley Cutchins of Franklin.
