NANCY JANIE FUTRELL CUTCHINS 

   BOYKINS - A funeral service for Mrs. Nancy Futrell Cutchins was conducted 
at 2 p.m. Tuesday in McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, by the Rev. B.C. Ackers 
of Western Branch Baptist Church.  Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Linwood Carr, Wayne Dunlow, Junius Bradshaw, Roland 
Newsoms, Patrick Ferguson, and Gilliam McGee.

   Mrs. Cutchins, 75, died Sunday night in a Portsmouth hospital.

   A native of Hertford County, N.C., and formerly of Newsoms, she spent the 
past five years in Portsmouth.  She was the widow of Robert Clarence Cutchins 
and a daughter of Gus and Mrs. Mary J. Futrell.

   She is survived by six sons, Clarence H. Cutchins of Portsmouth, Raleigh C. 
Cutchins of Sedley, Chesley Le Cutchins of Franklin; Robert Lee Cutchins of 
Franklin; Henry P. Cutchins of Virginia Beach; and James C. Cutchins of 
Smithfield; four daughters, Mrs. Clara Mae Benson of Carrsville, Mrs. Viola L. 
Liverman, Smithfield, N.C., Mrs. Jenny Sue Benson, Portsmouth, and Mrs. Ann C. 
Bess of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Story of Newsoms, Mrs. Minnie 
Smith, Richmond, and Mrs. Maude Rountree, Smithfield, N.C., 34 grandchildren 
and 32 great-grandchildren.
