All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ OCIE BUTLER CUTCHIN Mrs. Ocie Butler Cutchin, widow of Ernest Linwood Cutchin, died at Raiford Memorial Hospital August 11, after an extended illness. She was the daughter of Mrs. Ada Judkins Butler and the late David L. Butler of Nansemond County, and was a member of South Quay Baptist Church. Surviving her are her mother; two sons, Ernest L. Jr., and James Lawless Cutchin of Franklin; a daughter, Mrs. A.R. Butler of Portsmouth; seven brothers and two sisters, besides other relatives. Funeral services were conducted from South Quay Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock by her Pastor, Rev. W.B. Watson, assisted by Rev. N.C. Clifton of Beaver Dam Church, and burial was made in the family plot in Poplar Spring Cemetery here. The pallbearers were: Adolph, William H., Leonidas and Frank Story Cutchin, Willie Butler and S.O. Butler, Jr. ******************************************************************************* Mrs. Ocie Butler Cutchins, 57, Was Buried Tuesday Mrs. Ocie Butler Cutchins, 57, widow of Ernest Linwood Cutchins died August 11th in Raiford Memorial Hospital in Franklin after an illness of many months. She was the daughter of Mrs. Ada Judkins Butler of Carrsville and the late David L. Butler of Nansemond County and a member of the South Quay Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are two sons, Ernest L. Cutchins Jr. and James Lawless Cutchins of Franklin; seven brothers, Paul L. and H.M. Butler of Portsmouth; T.J. and H.C. Butler of Carrsville; J.F. Cutchins of Holland; and Sam O. and D.R. Butler of Franklin; and two sisters, Mrs. J. Linwood Howell and Mrs. J.R. Keene of Franklin. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the South Quay Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. W.B. Watson and Rev. N.C. Clifton. Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
