All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROBERT CLARENCE CUTCHINS Robert Clarence Cutchins, 69, retired farmer, died Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in the Patrick Henry Hospital, Newport News, after short illness. A son of James Thomas Cutchins and Katherine [sic; Catherine*] Story Cutchins, he was a native of Southampton county and a member of the Mt. Horeb Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Janie Futrell Cutchins; six sons, Clarence H. Cutchins, Raleigh C. Cutchins, Chesley Lee Cutchins, Henry Paul Cutchins and Robert Lee Cutchins of Franklin and James C. Chutchins of Portsmouth; four daughters, Mrs. Clara Mae Benson and Mrs. Anne Bess of Franklin, Mrs. Viola Liverman of Edenton, N.C., and Mrs. Jennie Sue Benson of Portsmouth; two brothers, Thomas Cutchins of Newsoms and L.B. Cutchins of Boykins; a sister, Mrs. Ella Fowler of Franklin; 29 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Services were conducted in the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home here Monday (today) at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. H.W. Landis of the Mt. Horeb Methodist Church and the Rev. Mike Burdohan of the Watchtower Bible Society. Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randolph Fowler, Ralph Ross, James M. Poe, Jesse Reel, Wilbur Richards and Joseph A. Vaughan.
