Robert Lee Cutchins Sr., 64, died June 2, 2000, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mr. Cutchins was a native of Southampton County and was a son of the late Clarence and Janie Futrell Cutchins. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and retired from the automotive maintenance department of Union Camp Corp. after 25 years of service. He was the former owner of Cutchins Exterminating and was a major influence in the organization of Bobby's Muffler and Tire Center in Franklin. He was a former member of Franklin Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Barbara Ann Cutchins; a daughter, Angela C. Cutchin and her husband, Greg, of Franklin; a son, Robert L. Cutchins Jr. and his wife, Diana, of Courtland; two sisters, Clara Mae Benson of Emporia and Ann C. Bess of Newsoms; two brothers, H. Paul Cutchins of Virginia Beach and James C. Cutchins of Zebulon, N.C.; four grandchildren, Robert L. Cutchins III, Tonya Cutchins, Jamie Cutchin and Lucas Cutchin; a dear friend and companion, Earl Ellis; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Dr. Reginald Warren and the Rev. Randy Wooden officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the residence at 113 Fairview Drive. ****************************************************************************** ROBERT LEE CUTCHINS SR.
