Cutchins Sr., 72, of Franklin, was held Monday, July 12 at 3 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Chapel by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins and the Rev. J.R. Roberts. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman Eley, Adolph Cutchins, William H. Cutchins, N.T. Duck, V.K. Daughtrey and Tom Caldwell. A native of Carrsville, Cutchins was a retired merchant. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Alpheus Cutchins, he was the husband of Mrs. Lavita M. Cutchins. Surviving besides his wife are the son, Samuel B. Cutchins Jr. of Richmond and Malcombe A. Cutchins of Auburn, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. Zula M. Cutchins of Franklin and three grandchildren.
