She was a native of Southampton County and the widow of Joe Crawford Cutchin, Sr. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughter, Bernice C. Rogers and Earnestine C. Wade, both of Franklin, and Faye C. Porter of Courtland; three sons, Roger Lee Cutchin and Carlton Cutchin, both of Franklin, and J.C. Cutchin of Windsor; two step-daughters, Blanche C. Halderman of Hampton and Thelma C. Williams of Norfolk; a stepson, Jack Cutchin of Suffolk; three sisters, Mary C. Duck, Annie C. Brock and Gladys C. Blythe, all of Franklin; a brother John W. Coggsdale Sr. of Hampton; 14 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Allan Melton and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Roger Lee Cutchin, 16 Crescent Drive, Franklin. ****************************************************************************** VIRGIE VIOLA COGGSDALE CUTCHIN* FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Virgie Coggsdale Cutchin, 78, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wright Funeral Home by the Revs. Allan Melton and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ashley Vaughan, Talmadge Collier, Shirley Foster, Russell Cotton, Marshall DeBerry and J.D. Bailey. Mrs. Cutchin died Friday in a hospital. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Joe Crawford Cutchin Sr. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Bernice C. Roberts and Ernestine C. Wade, both of Franklin, and Fay C.
