Mr. Cutchins, a native of Newsoms, was a member of Boykins Baptist Church and the Manry Hunt Club. Survivors include his wife, Alice Overby Cutchins; two daughters, Dorothy C. Duck of Franklin and Mary Jane Alexander of Charleston, S.C.; a foster daughter, Isabelle Barden of Edenton, N.C.; two sisters, Mary Bailey of Suffolk and Louise C. Pope of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. A graveside service was conducted Friday in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms, by the Rev. Richard Peercy.
