  Mrs. G.C. [sic; J.C.] Cotton, who died in Suffolk, March 6, 1907, was buried 
at Sycamore Church, the services being conducted by Rev. C.H. Rowland.  Mrs. 
Cotton was before her marriage Miss Bettie Rawls, sister of Uriah Rawls of 
this town.

However, it seems more likely that she was interred in the COTTON family 
   cemetery, opposite Sycamore Baptist Church, where her in-laws Allen Henry 
   & Emily Sephas (BUXTON) COTTON are buried.  Her husband's first wife 
   Olivia Gray (VAUGHAN) COTTON is likely buried there also; Olivia's sister 
   Margaret Rosa (VAUGHAN; Mrs. James Sephas) COTTON is known to be there.

Her husband (1866 - 1931) is buried with his third wife in Oak Grove Cemetery, 
   Portsmouth. 

Her brother Uriah RAWLS (1865 - 1938) married Bettie's sister-in-law Nannie 
   Elizabeth COTTON (1870 - 1962).  They are buried in Poplar Spring 
   Cemetery, Franklin - Section 2, Plot 61.

She appears with her brother Uriah in the 1900 Census - Windsor Dist., 
   Isle of Wight Co. - which gives b. Feb 1881; their widowed father Elisha, 
   b. Apr 1819, also appears with them.  Their mother Mary Jane (COBB) RAWLS 
   d. 11 Jul 1884 in Southampton Co. 

She & John Cary COTTON m. 6 Nov 1902 in Isle of Wight Co.  (#88)
