MARGARET ROSA COTTON In the home of Mr. and Mrs. S.W. Lankford of the Sycamore community, on Monday morning, Mrs. Margaret Rosa Cotton quietly passed away in her 71st year after an illness of about two months. During this time the loving and tireless ministry of family and friends attested to the esteem in which she was held by the community in which she had lived for more than seventy years. Mrs. Cotton was a faithful and consistent member of Sycamore Baptist Church and was interested and helpful in all the various activities of the church, particularly loyal to the Woman's Missionary Society. The patience with which she bore her suffering gave every indication of a mind resigned to the will of her Heavenly Father. The funeral services were conducted from Sycamore Church by her Pastor, Rev. Gordon L. Price, assisted by Rev. R.D. Stephenson of the Franklin Baptist Church. The active pallbearers were her grandsons, Russell Cotton, Harry and James Cobb, Irvin, Samuel and Hudson Lankford. Four of her granddaughters, Misses Bernice Schramm, Clara and Clarice Lankford and Margaret Eley, carried the flowers, and a number of friends served as honorary pallbearers. She was laid to rest beneath a mound of lovely flowers, beside her husband, James S. Cotton, who died 21 years ago. Mrs. Cotton is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Clarence Cobb, Mrs. S.W.
