All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ OLIE MAE CULPEPPER Olie Mae Bailey Holland Culpepper, 77, went to be with her Lord on May 5, 2000, at the home of her devoted sister after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Como, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Olie Majette Bailey and Annie Mae Cutchins Bailey and the widow of Robert C. Holland Jr. and Dennis Leroy Culpepper. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Robert C. Holland III and his wife, Ann, of Portsmouth; a sister, Doris Bryant and her husband, John, of Franklin; stepmother, Lessie Hatfield Bailey of Como, N.C.; half sisters, Patsy Parker of Como and Brenda Futrell of Murfreesboro, N.C.; half brother, Wayne Bailey and his wife, Judy, of Franklin; two grandchildren, Robert C. Holland IV and his wife, Michelle, of Newport News and Jennifer Ann Stanko of Portsmouth; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, C.C. Bailey. She will be surely missed and fondly remembered by her sister, Doris, and niece, Dorothy Cooper, who devoted their time and efforts during her last weeks in her care and well being, and by all her family and loved ones. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward C. Johnson and the Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home of Doris and John Bryant at 101 Page St. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. Ruth Petty, 116 Southampton Road, Franklin, VA 23851.
