Cary Close, 59, of 510 21st St., Washington, D.C., died Saturday in George Washington Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Williamsburg, Va, and formerly of Courtland and had resided in Washington for twenty-seven years. She attended the College of William and Mary and had retired with the C.I.A. after thirty years of service. Survivors include her mother, Mildred Cary Lane Close of Courtland; two sisters, Mary Leigh C. Babb of Chester and Elizabeth C. Lee of Johnson City, Tennessee; five brothers, George J. Close of Mechanicsville, Kenneth D. Close, Raleigh, N.C., John W. Close of Courtland Va., Robert G. Close of Clarksville, Tennessee, and David B. Close of Nashville, Tennessee, seven nieces, seven nephews; three great-nephews. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 P.M. Monday in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, by the Rev. Ben R. Duffey. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, had charge of arrangements.
