ZELL HAMMETT CLARK

   Zell Hammett Clark, 77, a former resident of Sebrell and a resident of 
Norfolk for the past ten years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.E. 
Hinkle, Jr., at 200 West 31st Street, Norfolk, after an illness of a few years. 

   Mr. Clark, a native of Mecklenburg County, was the husband of Mrs. Lela 
Davis Clark of Norfolk. He was a member of the Sebrell Methodist Church. 

   In addition to his wife and daughter, Mrs. Hinkle, he is survived by another 
daughter, Mrs. F.L. Beard of Norfolk, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

   Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the W.J.M. 
Holland and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. C.A. McCormick, Jr., pastor of the 
Sebrell Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Sebrell Cemetery. 

   Active pallbearers were Willie Whitehead, Joe Simmons, Robert Reese, Riddick 
Wells, Joe Forrest and Nat Foster.
